Download the latest updates for Outlook from Microsoft.
For Outgoing server (SMTP), enter 465 and mark the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) checkbox.
For Incoming server (IMAP), enter 993 and mark the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) checkbox.
Mark the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox and click Use same settings as my incoming mail server option.
Click the More Settings button and then click the Outgoing Server tab.
Your full email address (including or Gmail password Your full email address Google Apps users, enter your address in the following format: Information Your name as you want it to appear in the From field of outgoing messages
Click Add a new e-mail account option and click Next.
Configure your IMAP client and click Save Changes.
Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP link.
Click the Settings button near the upper-right corner and select Mail settings.
Note that your username is your full email address. You can retrieve your Gmail / Google Business Apps messages with a client or a device that supports IMAP, such as Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail.
